    My wife and I had lunch today at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company and we were extremely disappointed with the service. Due to the colder temp, my wife asked to be seated inside. As our hostess walked us through the empty interior, I observed several empty two top tables. For some unknown reason, our hostess sat us right next to another two top. Our tables were so close I could have grabbed the glass of water on their table without leaning over. Due to them receiving their bill as we sat down, I didn't make a fuss and ask to sit at another table. That was my bad. After receiving our appetizer, I had to wait until I was able to flag our waitress down for some napkins. We later received our meal. After waiting a few minutes again, I had to flag our waitress down again to ask her for some silverware. My final straw was during our meal, one of the staff members started sweeping around and under our table while we were eating. WTH!? The food was great, but the service was so bad we won't be returning! UPDATE: To my surprise, I received a message from the manager within hours of my original review, who offered to correct the service we received during today's lunch. Due to our happiness with the food itself, I felt the need to inform anyone who reviews my original review. The manager was completely reasonable and apologetic about the service today. I couldn't ask for a more positive response. For that reason alone, we will definitely try this place again. I commend the management at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company!

    Our server was Emma. She was outstanding! Completely accommodating without being overbearing. Grilled artichoke- 10/10 Steak sandwich-9/10 Blackened cod 9/10 Cheesecake 10/10 The only ehhhhh was the chowder. It was also the end of the day - it was , thick- but it's heavy competition here in half moon bay. Would I go back , absolutely. This place did not disappoint! For a moderately priced bite, Definitely worth it!

    This is a little bit of an unfair review from my side since I've been here plenty of times before and it's always been perfect, and it's more a review of tonight's dinner, I sat at the bar on a not so busy night, party of 3 but found a place right away. we sat ourselves, and from he start I felt very rush to order my drinks and food, no service or menus was given at all. When finally menus came because I requested them, I ask for a a burger with no bun, and bartender got that simple order wrong and served it with a bun, Apparently they were both more interested on a specific pair of customers a couple of young girls workers from a near by place, (maybe the hotel next door), they were again "apparently" asking for a discount at the end, and didn't tip very well what made my bartender to get on a certain bad mood too. I honestly had no one check on if I like my food or drink at all, and he expects 20%?? I decided to tip 12% based on the barely any effort service experience, he didn't seem to appreciate it either, next time it will be a 0 if he is still there, I love this place! Please manager pay attention to who works at your establishment. As stated before I will be back, thank you half moon bay brewery the food and beer (kolsh) were delicious, service has to improve to keep the good experience alive. Update: Management got in touch with me and sent me a gift card, I'm so happy that they not only read their reviews, but also try to fix it when the review wasn't so good. Thanks! I will be seeing you again soon
